Lemon may be good for lemonade, but it is also overflowing with beneficial vitamins and is also a great source of citric acid. Citric acid is very effective to fight against bacteria which causes throat infections. As an added bonus all of the vitamins and antioxidants packed inside the yellow fruit strengthens the immune system. Ginger holds anti-inflammatory properties. It also helps in the fight against rhinoviruses as it is the cause of sore throats.
Squeeze 1 lemon into hot to warm water then add ginger root extract and raw honey to taste. It is always best to use fresh ginger as its the most nutritious but in a crunch you can settle for the extract. Allow to steep few moments, mix and drink.
